Susan Franke is a registered nurse and has worked as a public health nurse, staff nurse and supervisor. She is also a licensed PA nursing home administrator. She received a BSN degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and a Masters Degree in Health Education from Penn State University. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist.
In addition, Susan is the former director of a Pennsylvania statewide information and referral help-line for families of children with special health care needs and chronic health conditions. Susan is also the Burger King Cancer Caring Center. She is a member of the American School Health Association and a pediatric nursing instructor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Susan has over 20 years of experience in health care and community services and has given over 650 presentations to schools and community groups since 1998. Her children's programs received an award of excellence from the Pittsburgh Public School District. Susan was recently featured in the Murrysville Star and the Green Tree Times. She was also a guest on the KDKA Morning Show with Jon Burnett, where she discussed her Teddy Bear Therapy, disability awareness, bully prevention and Hug Therapy programs.
Linda is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Carlow University with a 2004 Master of Science in Leadership.
Current instructor and owner of Hug Therapy Educational Programs for children and families, Owner and head Montessori teacher at Keystone Montessori, Instructor for FRAS Franklin Regional Adult School, Committee Officer Member of FRAS, Parent Educator, Presenter at PA State Title I Parent Advisory Conference August 2008- Celebrate the Family. Member of American Montessori Society, Montessori Teacher Certification of Ohio, mentored by Keys Montessori School. Former University Professor of Child Development, University professor of Montessori Curriculum and Philosophy, Heads Up! Reading Literacy Facilitator, Head Start Preschool Teacher, Head Start Administrator and Advisor, T.S.S. Therapeutic Staff Support and educator of children with disabilities, Co-Presenter at Title I Parent Advisory Conference (2003), Linda was featured in the fall edition of In Murrysville Magazine describing her dream and passion for a opening a Montessori based program in Murrysville, Lifelong resident of Murrysville, Member of First United Methodist Church of Murrysville, Married and mother of two young energetic children.
